NOLA Baby Sign Language Classes

There’s a lot of hype on potential benefits & possible pitfalls to using baby sign language with a hearing baby.   We use a simple, 3-prong approach to baby sign language.  1- see, 2- hear, 3- connect  Babies’ organic preference for language is not limited to spoken word. A study by K&W suggests infants (with no prior exposure to sign) are more interested in ASL than pantomime.  Parents using sign language feel in-sync with their baby’s pre-lingual wants and needs.  The connection made through a shared language can decrease frustration and lay the groundwork for healthy communication patterns.  Socialization is another Baby Sign bonus.  Babies and tots using “please” and “thank you” are better adjusted to playdate & preschool formalities.

ASL Total Communication Power for Learning

Sign Language Kids Program is an “ASL Total Communication Power for Learning” approach to providing your child the ability to express themselves more readily by taking advantage of all modes of communication, which includes sign language. Total communication has not only proven to be the preferred learning mode for Deaf and hard of hearing children, but is also an excellent tool in providing your child access to communication before able to speak and a boost for your child's ability to learn more languages. It is a fact that learning a second language enhances tbe aquisition of learning other languages exponentially.
